Nizova Nataliya Mykolayivna – Director of the State Institution “Ukrainian Center for Social Disease Control of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine”.

In 1979б Nataliya Nizova graduated cum laude from the Pyrohov Odesa Medical Institute (nowadays – the Odessa National Medical University). She started her career as a junior physician of a municipal hospital in Mykolayiv (1979-1980). Since 1985, she had worked as an assistant professor, and since 1993 – as an associate professor at the department of obstetrics and gynecology of the abovementioned educational institution.
In 1995-2002 – headed the clinic for postgraduate training at the department of obstetrics and gynecology; research advisor of the center of women’s health and family planning; coordinator of obstetrics and gynecology service in Odessa region.
Dean of the faculty of postgraduate education of the Odessa Medical University (1996-2000), vice-rector for clinical work and postgraduate education of the Odessa State Medical University (2000-2002).
In 2003-2007 headed the project of the American International Health Alliance “Preventing Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV” in Ukraine. Expert of the World Health Organization in the CIS countries.
In 2008-2009 – deputy director of the USAID HIV/AIDS Service Capacity Project in Ukraine.
Appointed to the position of director of the Ukrainian center for prevention and fighting AIDS of the MOH of Ukraine by the Decree of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine of 08.10.09 No. 258-0.
Shcherbinska Alla Mykhaylivna – deputy director for prevention, research, and resource development of the State Institution “Ukrainian Center for Social Disease Control of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine”.
Professor (1992), Doctor of Medical Sciences in the area of virology (1984), candidate of medical sciences (1970), has the highest qualification in healthcare organization and virology.
In 1953-1959 graduated cum laude from the Bohomolets Kyiv Medical Institute, the faculty of sanitation and hygiene.
Started her career as an epidemiologist at the Cherkasy region sanitary and epidemiology station.
In 1960-1992 worked as junior and senior research fellow, head of the laboratory of general virology, director of the Institute of epidemiology and infectious diseases of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine (1992-1997).
Director of the Ukrainian center for prevention and fighting against AIDS of the MOH of Ukraine (1992-2009), and deputy head of the National committee to fight AIDS affiliated to the President of Ukraine (1993-1997).
Author of over 300 papers, including 4 certificates of authorship.
Awarded with the State Award of Ukraine “3rd class Order of Princess Olga” (2009 р.), bestowed with a title “Honoured master of sciences and engineering of Ukraine” (1996).
Stelmakh Olha Mykhaylivna – deputy director for regional policy and inter-sectorial interaction of the State Institution “Ukrainian Center for Social Disease Control of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine”, has the highest qualification in epidemiology; underwent pre-certification cycle in “Organization and management in healthcare” at the department of Healthcare Organization and Management of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
In 1972 – 1978 – graduated from the Bohomolets Kyiv Medical Institute, the faculty of sanitation and hygiene.
Started her career as an epidemiologist at the Kyiv regional sanitary and epidemiology station (the department of highly infectious diseases).
In 1985 - 2002 worked in institutions subordinated to the Kyiv city sanitary and epidemiological service (in the area of fighting infectious diseases and tuberculosis).
In 2002 - 2007 worked at the Secretariat of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine (the Department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision)
In 2007 – 2011 – deputy head of the Committee for fighting HIV-infection and AIDS, and other socially dangerous diseases
In 2011-2012 – director of the State Institution “Ukrainian Center for Tuberculosis Control of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine”.
Awarded by the certificate of merit of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine. As a national expert on infection control in tuberculosis institutions, and places of long-term stay and residence of patients with tuberculosis, was often involved into the work of WHO missions in Ukraine.
Hetman Larysa Ivanivna – deputy director for organization of medical assistance to HIV-infected of the “Ukrainian Center for Social Disease Control of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine”.
In 1990-1996 graduated from the Bohomolets National Medical University with a major in medical and preventative care.
In 1996-1997 underwent internship training in infectious diseases.
Started her career as an infectious disease specialist in Polyclinic No. 1 in Obolon district of Kyiv City.
From 2004 to 2012 worked as an infectious disease specialist at the department of AIDS in the clinic of the State Institution “Hromashevskyi Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.
Has the highest qualification in infectious diseases and a qualification in healthcare organizations.
