German partners will provide 30 modern training facilities in Dnipropetrovsk
On June, 1 2016 the Department of Education and Science of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration held a press conference dedicated to the results of the Ukraine-German cooperation in the field of education in Dnipropetrovsk. The press conference officially announced the results of the selection process of 30 secondary schools in Dnipropetrovsk where modern training classrooms will be equipped under financial and administrative support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of the German Government.
This initiative has been performed by the project "HIV/AIDS advisory services and institutional capacity building" and "Psychosocial support and conflict management" by GIZ Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Department of Education and Science of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Teacher Education.
Due to Ukrainian-German cooperation in schools are being actively introduced innovative educational tools on HIV / AIDS awareness and reproductive health, based on the best European practices and adapted to the Ukrainian context. The equipped classrooms will be used for educational activities focused not only on HIV prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles, but also on integration and support for families of internally displaced persons.
It is expected that training classrooms will be furnished and equipped till September 2016. And staring from the new school year schoolchildren of Dnipropetrovsk can fully enjoy them.
