Press Announcement: World TB Day - Unite to End TB!

Press-briefing dedicated to the World TB Day will take place on March, 24 from 11:00 to 11:30 at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center (Kiev, Khreschatyk Street, 2) 

The event is supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, UCDC and country office of the WHO.

In frames of this event the speakers will raise awareness about the burden of tuberculosis in Ukraine, outline global and national strategies to stop TB, communicate international donor investments to accelerate the end of TB in Ukraine and promote timely TB treatment and prevention.

The confirmed speakers at the press-briefing are Mr.Alexander Kvitashvili, The Minister of Health of Ukraine; Mr.George Sakvarelidze, Senior Portfolio Manager at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria; Prof.Natalia Nizova, Director of the UCDC and Mr. Andrej Slavuckij, the WHO country office representative.
